Biography
Yeshika completed her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree at the University of South Africa and her Master of Laws (LLM) in Multidisciplinary Human Rights at the University of Pretoria. She is currently a Doctor of Laws (LLD) candidate at the University of Pretoria’s Centre for Human Rights, where her research explores the intersection of human rights, public health, and digital wellbeing within the context of ethical artificial intelligence governance. She has over a decade of professional legal experience in Contract Law gained through public service, which informs her practical and interdisciplinary approach to teaching and research.
Yeshika’s principal research themes include human rights, environmental justice, mental wellbeing in the digital age, and the role of law in advancing sustainable development. She is a member of the Environmental Law Society of South Africa, and currently lectures full-time at the Emeris Pretoria campus, where she is also involved in advancing innovative and student-centred approaches to legal research for the Bachelor of Laws students.
