Emeris Scholarships

Emeris Scholarships are based on academic merit which is designed to nurture South Africa’s future leaders and thinkers. It will also provide an opportunity for learners to access quality private higher education, which might otherwise be unaffordable, equipping them with the skills and means to thrive.

Eligibility criteria 

Scholarships are available exclusively to South African citizens.

In order to complete the Scholarship application, applicants must undertake the following:

  • Submit a completed and paid application to study at Emeris
  • Submit a copy of the required academic transcripts (as specified below)
  • A motivational letter

Undergraduate Scholarships 
Scholarships are awarded subject to academic achievement. To be eligible scholarship applicants must have achieved a minimum average of 75% in Grade 11 and will be required to submit their final Grade 11 year-end report (reflecting results for Terms 1 to 4 and the overall final average for the year) or their final National Senior Certificate (NSC) results. 

Postgraduate Scholarships 
Scholarships are awarded subject to academic achievement. To be eligible, scholarship applicants must have achieved a minimum average of 75% in the final year of their undergraduate qualification, where this has already been completed. For students currently in their final year, eligibility will be determined based on their academic performance at the end of semester 1. 

Application details
Scholarship applicants must first apply and pay the application fee to study at Emeris.

Scholarship applicants must enter their unique Application Number, (Example AP1234567) as issued during the Emeris application process. The scholarship application will be linked to the applicant’s details and the qualification selected as their programme of interest in the Emeris application.

Applications for a scholarship will be disqualified if the relevant proof of academic achievement and a 1-page motivation have not been submitted upon application.

Scholarship recipients must confirm their acceptance and complete the admissions process by the deadlines set out in their scholarship offer letters.

Scholarship recipients must meet entrance criteria for their selected qualification in order for their registration to be finalised.

Interested individuals are invited to apply for a Scholarship from 5 May to 30 September 2026.

Successful scholarship applicants will be selected and notified during October 2026.
