Biography
Tracey is a Teaching and Learning Specialist in higher education with a strong grounding in research psychology, curriculum design, and academic development. Her work brings together psychology, pedagogy, and affective learning, with particular interest in the pedagogy of discomfort, presence pedagogy, emotional containment, and the relational aspects of adaptive instruction. She plays an active role in strengthening research culture at the Westville campus, leading initiatives such as the Couch to A-List programme, facilitating campus writers’ retreats, and coordinating the inaugural research colloquium in October 2025. In June 2025 she was honoured with the Emeris Westville campus’s Top Researcher Award in recognition of her scholarly contribution and leadership. Tracey also invests deeply in her own development, building connections with esteemed academics at national and international conferences to enrich her learning and collaborations. She is often invited to review work submitted in international journals and was awarded a certificate of excellence in reviewing from the Asian Journal of Education and Social Studies. Her current projects include shaping a dedicated “Couch to Conference” programme for 2026 and advancing a major scoping review on the use of artificial intelligence in service-learning and community engagement. She continues to mentor researchers, support multidisciplinary postgraduate work, and teach research at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
