Thaiurie Govender is a Teaching and Learning Specialist with a Master of Education in Curriculum Studies. Her scholarly work is grounded in critical approaches to higher education, with research interests that include decolonisation of the curriculum, technology-enhanced teaching and learning, artificial intelligence and ethical usage in higher education, social justice, and gender studies. Thaiurie has published a peer-reviewed article and served as an editor for an academic book, contributing to discourse on inclusive and transformative educational practices. She is currently working on a journal article that interrogates gender dynamics in STEM education, reflecting her commitment to advancing equity and representation in academic spaces. Her expertise extends to exploring the intersection of pedagogy and emerging technologies, with a focus on how AI can be integrated responsibly to support teaching and learning in both private and public higher education contexts.
