Biography

Dr Sharon Auld is a Postgraduate Academic Leader, Supervisor, and Senior Lecturer in the Discipline of Psychology, School of Humanities at The Independent Institute of Education, Emeris. She has lectured in the Discipline of Psychology at the University of KwaZulu-Natal where she was also a Postdoctoral Fellow with the National Institute for The Humanities and Social Sciences. Sharon is a Clinical Psychologist with an interest in long term psychodynamic psychotherapy. Her PhD involved work with policemen who suffered post-traumatic stress disorder in the line of duty. Her research interests include the social construction of psychopathology, critical identity studies and the transformation of higher education.
