Biography

With over twelve years of lecturing experience in the fields of Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, and Finance, I have developed a strong academic and professional grounding in undergraduate accounting education. I have taught extensively at both second- and third-year levels and have served as a Senior Lecturer for the past three years, focusing on enhancing teaching and learning practices within the School of Finance and Accounting. My work is driven by a commitment to improving student engagement, academic support, and curriculum design across diverse learning contexts.

My research interests centre on student wellbeing, learning experiences, and academic success in accounting education. I am currently preparing a journal article for submission to the South African Journal of Higher Education titled Beyond Grades: An Exploration of the Interplay between Student Wellbeing and Academic Success Rates in Third-Year Accounting Students. This study reflects my broader scholarly focus on understanding how wellbeing dimensions influence performance outcomes in high-stakes accounting modules.

Across both teaching and research, I remain committed to fostering supportive learning environments and contributing to the development of evidence-based pedagogical practices in higher education.
