Biography

As Senior Lecturer Teaching and Learning, I am passionate about transforming science and technology education in Africa. With a strong foundation in chemistry and subject expertise in natural science and technology education, I empower future teachers with innovative pedagogies, digital ethics and cutting-edge emerging technologies. My research explores the intersection of AI, STEM education, coding and robotics through Apple Teacher and Code4kids organisations sparking crucial conversations about inclusive and equitable learning. As module leader, I collaborate with lecturers nationally to promote academic excellence in natural science and technology. I received the Dr Warner Graduate Student Research Award from Epsilon Pi Tau Honorary Society in 2022 and ignite a love for STEM in a new generation of teachers so that they can make a lasting impact, shaping the future of science and technology education in South Africa and beyond.
