Nqobile Magongo is a full-time School of Computer Science lecturer with 13 years of experience in corporate training and lecturing undergraduate Computer Science, specializing in software development, cloud development, and emerging technologies. Her academic background in Computer Science, further learning path, and professional work focuses on an interdisciplinary engagement in AI ethics, creative computing, and feminist approaches to development operations practices. In addition to her academic role, Nqobile is an independent musician, a creative influence that informs her interests in the intersections of algorithmic decision-making, artistic expression, and responsible use of AI.
Her current research focus is on feminine coding, where she examines how inclusive development practices can reshape coding cultures in development operations environments.
