Biography
Dr Njabulo is a public health and wellness researcher with a research agenda that encompasses United Nations SDGs 1,3,4 and 10. Her research interests, which are public health, mental health, health information, information processing and student wellness, are found in the form of journal articles, book chapters, magazine articles and op-eds. Her book titled, “Improving health literacy for people with low literacy: an analysis of a South African HIV heath education programme” was based on research conducted during her PhD studies in Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) which was completed at the University of Pretoria. In addition to the PhD, Mbanda’s professional training includes a Masters in Early Childhood Intervention and Bachelor of Social Science Honours majoring in Counselling Psychology. Njabulo is currently involved in the following research projects; an edited book titled, “ Loss in Many Voices: The Untold Stories of Grief; which is a compilation from authors of different sectors, fields and academic practice and two other projects at Emeris. The one project is the ‘Goal Set Success’ programme which is coaching project for undergraduate student and the other is a Faculty of Humanities study on the Relational Well-Being and Academic Performance among Undergraduate Students.
