Biography

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education (PGDip) and a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Interior Design (B-Tech), with over 20 years of academic experience across various institutions. I have actively helped shape academic practices in higher education. My work includes curriculum development and delivering innovative, student-centred teaching methods. My dedication to teaching was recognised through an Academic Lecturer Award and a nomination for the Dr Freysen Teaching Excellence Award. I furthered my professional development by completing the Fundamentals of Digital Teaching and Learning course, which explores adaptive teaching and learning strategies. My teaching philosophy is rooted in constructivist principles, and I employ a range of pedagogical approaches tailored to diverse needs, backgrounds, and learning styles. I remain committed to ongoing professional growth and am open to pursuing a master’s degree to strengthen my contribution to teaching and learning.
