Biography

Dr Marizanne Grundlingh is a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Humanities at Emeris Cape Town. With a background in anthropology her research focuses on issues related to symbolism, gender, identity, and heritage in the social world of sport. She has published in leading international journals on sports heritage and presented her research at conferences both locally and abroad. She recently completed her second master’s in information and communication technology (Education) Cum Laude at the University of Johannesburg. Her research considered the use of large language models to promote the development of 21-st century skills among university students.
