Biography

I am a dedicated educator and academic with over ten years of experience in Initial Teacher Education within the private Higher Education sector in South Africa. I have extensive experience in lecturing, curriculum design and academic leadership with a passion for strengthening the professional competence of pre-service teachers for the demands of 21st-century classrooms. I co-authored and published my first academic journal article in 2025, “Exploring pre-service teachers experiences of an Online Microteaching Model in initial teacher education in South Africa”. My current scholarly interest is around the role of service-learning in advancing teacher identity, professional growth, community engagement  and The Sustainable Development Goals
