Annatjie Pretorius is a registered PhD candidate in Education at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. She works as a Teaching and Learning Specialist in the private higher education sector. Her research interest falls with student engagement and dialogic learning, with specific focus on conversational learning and in talk as social and pedagogical action. Her learning and teaching practice and philosophy is underpinned by constructivism and socio-cultural learning theories.
