Admission requirements

Minimum Admission Requirements:
  • National Senior Certificate (NSC): Higher Certificate pass with English at 30%
  • National Certificate (Vocational) [NC(V)]: Higher Certificate pass with English at 40%
  • Senior Certificate (SC): No endorsement required, with English at 33.3%
  • Senior Certificate (Amended) [SC(a)]: Minimum 30% in LOLT on NSC/SC(a) or 33.3% on SC
  • International Applicants: A SAQA Evaluation Certificate with NSC Level 4 equivalence with at least 30% or equivalent for English

The IIE Higher Certificate in Communication Practices consists of eight core modules drawn from both the Communication Science and Education disciplines at NQF Level 5, totalling 120 credits.
