Experience design is the field of choice if you are interested in creating meaningful and enjoyable moments for people when they interact with a product, place, or service. Experience designers combine creative problem-solving skills and technology with an interest in people to ensure every part of an experience works well, feels good, and makes sense to the person using it.
The IIE Bachelor of Experience Design degree, available at Emeris, will introduce you to people-first design principles, creative skills to communicate ideas, and a variety of methods, tools and technologies for designing apps and websites. Most importantly, this degree develops your ability to think like a designer and equips you with the skills to design for the future.
From second year, you can select a specialisation in either User Experience (UX) Design or Motion Design that prepares you for a career path built around your personal interest and creative strengths. In the UX Design specialisation, you will be introduced to the fundamental principles of User Interface (UI)-, UX and interaction design and learn to use agile approaches and methods like rapid-prototyping, user journey mapping and wire-framing to design satisfying experiences. In the Motion Design specialisation you will be introduced to the fundamental principles of visual storytelling, design and animation. You will learn to apply the processes, production pipelines and tools of 2D and 3D motion graphics and visual effects (Vfx) and explore technologies such as augmented and virtual reality to design interactive and immersive experiences.
At Emeris, we follow a practical learning-by-doing approach to build students’ creative confidence. You will work individually and in multi-disciplinary teams on real-life design projects to build a well-rounded, professional design portfolio. Emeris unique fusion of futures thinking, creative problem-solving and branding sets our students apart as strategic and entrepreneurial future leaders in industry.
